Dr. John Wells, West Lothian Archaeological Trust and Scottish National Aerial Photography Scheme
An Introduction to Archaeological Kite Aerial Thermography
John is a graduate of the universities of Warwick (Physics), Salford (Applied Radiation Physics) and Oxford (Corpus Christi College, Medical Research). After leaving Oxford, until retirement, he was a radiation research scientist at Berkeley Nuclear Laboratories in Gloucestershire.
Now, John's primary interest is in developing and promoting cost-effective techniques of archaeological/heritage photography in a community context, from the near ultraviolet through to the thermal infra-red. He manages a Facebook page on Kite Aerial Remote Sensing: https://www.facebook.com/KARSensing/
