Ian Brown - University of Oxford

Ian Brown will be speaking on the citizen archaeology project concerned with cataloguing and describing the hill forts that are located throughout Britain and Ireland.
The project, launched in 2012, aims to create a comprehensive database of these Iron Age monuments so that they are recorded, and so that future analysis and investigation can be done on the site-type known as the hill fort.
This project is a way in which the general public can work to increase our knowledge and understanding of the hill fort and its place in the Irish landscape.
